Birding Languedoc day trips Spring 2023
Scroll down for our day trip programme and sign-up form.
If you are not resident in the Languedoc and travelling from further afield,
you might want to combine one or more day trips with a longer stay in the area.
See our selection of birder-friendly accommodation in the DIY Birding section.
You can also see the programme on the calendar page
What to expect on the day!
Our day trips are relaxed but focussed and are suitable for any birders who already have a little experience in the field right through to experienced birders.
They are run in English and guided by a local ornithologist. We generally start at 8h – 8h30 and stop around 16h30. Where possible we stop at a café mid to late morning, but it always a good idea to bring your own flask of tea/coffee. Everyone brings their own picnic lunch.
Covid: At the moment there are no particular restrictions. However, if you are carpooling it is always a good idea to ask the other people if they would like you to wear a mask 🙂
Contribution to costs: 45€ per day per person. This is reduced for groups of 2 or more traveling together.
What to wear/bring:
We recommend walking shoes/boots plus a wind-proof/showerproof jacket, water, hat and sun protection as appropriate!
And of course don’t forget your binoculars and a picnic 🙂
Programme: You can access a calendar view of the programme here.

** N.B. Children over 15 who are keen birders are welcome to join if accompanied by a parent!
Sadly we cannot allow dogs – sorry but it’s just too complicated to manage!**
